Paulette J. Macenka
Paulette J. (Schasney) Macenka, 85, widow of Michael G. Macenka, Sr., of Pennsburg, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Life Quest Nursing Center, Quakertown.
Born in Lansford, PA, she was a daughter of the late Michael S. and Anna J. (Acamec) Schasney.
Paulette was the Company Nurse for Knoll Inc. for over 20 years retiring in 1990.
She was a longtime member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church where she was a former member of the Altar and Rosary Society and was an active volunteer for the church. She also enjoyed gardening and baking for her family.
Surviving are a son, Michael G. Macenka, Jr. and his wife, Janet A. of Coplay; a brother, Joseph Schasney of Venice, FL; a sister, Mary Cohen of New York City and two grandchildren, Matthew Macenka of Kansas City, MO and Meghan Macenka of Coplay. Along with her husband and parents, she is predeceased by two brothers, Michael and Paul Schasney and three sisters, Anna Karabinos, Rose McArdle and Agnes Schasney.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 1325 Klinerd Road, Pennsburg, PA 18073 with the Rev. Robert A. Roncase officiating. A viewing will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning at the Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville.
